MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Denmark-Olar High School is to ensure a high quality education for each student through innovative instructional methods and dynamic educational experiences facilitated by highly skilled professionals.

PHILOSOPHY 

School exists for the purpose of providing sound pre-vocational, academic and athletic programs. 

It is the intent of the faculty and administration to provide a supportive and humane environment in which each young person can grow through personal involvement with teachers, administrators and fellow students. 

Denmark-Olar High exists to serve the community. Therefore, it extends its facilities, professional help and good will to the community in an effort to establish a relationship between school and community that is mutually beneficial. 

In addition, an effort is made to motivate and direct students to institutions of higher learning. Realism dictated, however, that the high school provides experience and learning to enable pupils who choose to work in industry or business to do so with marketable skills and constructive attitudes. 

This educational program, designed to help each student realize his/her maximum potential, functions upon the recognition of individual differences. The learning process is accomplished through a core of common learning and gradually differentiated programs determined by each student's aptitudes, accomplishments, inclinations and needs. 

The administration and staff of this school understand that the roles of instructor and learner should be defined in such a way to permit the learner to play a larger part in creating a cooperative learning experience. This allows the learner to "buy into" his/her educational experience.
